is organised by Lorraine - 0208 457 4140
and Sheila - 0208 457 4141 who coordinate all
of the administrative work necessary to ensure that reps
are allocated, invited and processed on the basic regional
courses, including any specialist briefings. |

Carol is the
Regional Education Officer with responsibility for the
overall department, and is involved in the provision of
training, updating and devising course materials, as well as maintaining
the website. The John Cope Trust (an education
sponsorship fund) is also part of Carols remit.

| Jenny
Webber is our Training & Development Officer
who works from our Norwich Office and is responsible
for specialist workplace training, bidding for funds
from sources such as the Union Learning Fund, developing
our Learning Reps network, some basic training provision
and supervising our Project Workers. For more information

Bob
Hayes is one of our freelance tutors, teaching labour
relations courses at venues across the Region. He also
works with education department colleagues in developing
new training courses. He is particularly interested in
skills development for union representatives, such as
negotiating skills and public speaking training. |

Simon
is our Regional Health & Safety Officer and tutors
the 5 Day Health & Safety and 2 Day Safety Inspection
courses. He also provides regular bulletins on new developments/changes in health and safety as well as undertaking research on issues raised in the region. |

All
GMB tutors have many years experience as trade union activists
and hold relevant teaching qualifications.
