GMB - Britain’s General Union

The Baldock office serves an area covering Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire, with the main towns/cities being Bedford, Cambridge, Luton, Milton Keynes and Huntingdon. It also has some wider regional industrial responsibilities.

As well as a large and growing Local Authority membership, we cover GMB members employed in manufacturing, retail distribution, process industries, the Health Service and those employed by private contractors who operate in the public service sector.

		Warren Kenny is the Senior Organiser with overall management responsibility for the Baldock Office together with that of the London Region Organising Team. He is also the Region’s Political Officer for Cambridgeshire and the Home Counties.
		Richard O'Leary is a Membership Development Officer and is responsible for Local Authorities in Bedford, Luton, Cambridge, Milton Keynes and Peterborough.
		Alan is the Regional Organiser covering Private and Manufacturing Sector companies in the Home Counties area.
		Tom Kelly is the organiser responsible for members in these areas. He also covers mechanical trades such as laggers, welders and platers and has a national co-ordinating role for the GMB in the construction industries.
		Paul Meddes Regional Organiser, is responsible for servicing the Security Industry within the London Region, from Norfolk/Suffolk to Greater London. He also covers some other private sector companies, in particular DHL, parcel division and others. Paul is also a co-tutor for the GMB@Work courses to new workplace organisers.
		Ella Woodgate provides secretarial and office admin support to the Officers and is the main point of contact for visitors to the office.
		Teresa Forshaw is the Office Manager with responsibility for the day to day administration of the Baldock Office.
