The Fulham Office is a small office with two officers,
Bert Schouwenburg (Organiser) and Rose Conroy (Publicity
& Media Officer).
Bert
deals mainly with the Public Sector, covering the City
of Westminster,
and the London Boroughs of Islington, Hackney and Camden.
He also has responsibility for the private contractors
working with these London Boroughs.
Rose’s role is to ensure that the work of the region
and union movement is publicised, so that the improvements
gained for members is highlighted and promoted. Rose believes
that too often only the confrontations such as strikes
are given news space, whilst the good work that is achieved
daily through negotiation are ignored. Rose is the editor
for the London Region’s magazine called Candid which
is produced approximately 3 times a year and sent directly
to all members.
The
Fulham office does not have any admin support so it is
best if you phone to make appointments as both Bert and
Rose are often out on the road.
