The regional office at Hendon is the hub of the region,
providing central services to members and officers.
There are 4 floors giving office space to officers and
support staff, ranging from Communications, Finance,
Legal and the Regional Secretary’s Office.

The Communications Department is organised by Pat
Kenny (Regional Communication Officer), with Jane
Carter (Receptionist) and Bob Ridgway (Caretaker).
The Department deals with all postal services, major photocopying
and printing work for the region and administers regional
merchandise such as T shirts and diaries. One of its main
functions is to keep a stock of the stationery required
by branches, such as membership applications, personal
injury and other benefit forms.

The Finance & Membership Department is located
on this floor. Frances
Dymock is the Regional Finance Officer, who along
with Julie
Adamson (Assistant Finance Officer), provides financial
and membership information to members, Branches and
regional officers.

Sue Hackett
provides membership support and administers the membership
computer system for the region, producing membership cards,
dealing with queries from officers and members and assisting
the Regional Finance Officer in project work.
Lisa Bacon deals mainly with members' queries, cash contributions and also helps Julie update Branch Secretaries’ cash listings.

Shobna
Gudka works as part of the team and specialises in
benefit applications as well as dealing with Direct Debit
membership applications.

Tony
Warr, Senior Organiser for the Commercial Services Section and Retired Life members who has responsibility for members at Katsouris Fresh Foods, PizzaCo,Noon Products , London Boroughs of Barnet and Brent and those local authority catering, cleaning and refuse contractors operating within these boroughs. Tony has management responsibility for a large number of the Region's Organisers an is also the Region's National Organising Team representative.

| Colin Gleeson(Organiser)
is an experienced officer and covers a wide range of companies, including some NHS, British Gas Transco, Connaught Gas and Chiropractors. |

Carol
Sears is Head of Education and Legal and works closely with the Regional Secretary's
office. She is responsible for the regional education
programme and organising the region's legal services. She is also the Regional Returning Officer. |
|

|
Simon Reed (Health & Safety Officer) is responsible for The Health & Safety department giving advice and support to officers and representatives. He also tutors on the region's specialist health and safety courses.
|
 Lorraine and Sheila provide the admin support for the Education Department based this office and work closely with Carol Sears, Head of Education and Legal and Simon Reed, Regional Health & Safety Officer. Anna
Meyer (Organiser)
has responsibility for membership within the legal
sector and language schools, as well as the House
of Commons and the House of Lords and Madame Tussuads.
She also looks after membership in Westminster
council. |

| Vince Maple was a senior lay official with PCS before joining the team in August 2008. His current areas of responsibility include the London Borough of Waltham Forest, the City of London Corporation, and the Royal Marsden Hospital. |

| Gary Carter (Organiser) has responsibility for the following local authorities and their associated contractors. Islington, Camden, City of London, Kensington & Chelsea
He is also the officer responsible for GMB members in Royal Parks, Festival Republic, City West Homes. |

Paul Hayes is the Regional Secretary. He has been part of the London Region for more than 23 years firstly as a member, than as an Organiser and in the the last two years as part of the National Organising Team.
Paul believes in a collective leadership approach. By working together, pursuing the GMB@Work strategy, supporting our members and representatives, we will see the region grow and strenghthen our organisation. |
Chris
Bargery is the Regional Secretary's secretary and is also
the Office Manager, with responsibility for the
day to day administration for the region. Chris
is a back up system and very often is the point
of contact for people contacting the Regional Secretary’s
Office.
Beverley Fyfe is the Research &
Development Project Co-ordinator. Beverley researches into opportunities where the GMB feel that developments can be made to its membership base. This includes constant contact with schools, care homes and special projects, plus over-seeing Organising Team visits and collating a wide range of data to enable the GMB to extend upon its membership and knowledge. |
