The Regional Office at Hendon is the hub of the region,
providing central services to members and officers.
There are 4 floors giving office space to officers and
support staff, ranging from Communications, Finance,
Legal and the Regional Secretary’s Office.

The Communications Department is organised by Pat
Kenny (Regional Communication Officer), with Jane
Carter and Dawn Francis (Receptionists) and Bob Ridgway (Caretaker).
The Department deals with all postal services, major photocopying
and printing work for the region and administers regional
merchandise such as T shirts and diaries. One of its main
functions is to keep a stock of the stationery required
by branches, such as membership applications, personal
injury and other benefit forms.

The Finance & Membership Department is located
on this floor. Frances
Dymock is the Regional Finance Officer, who along
with Julie
Adamson (Assistant Finance Officer), provides financial
and membership information to members, Branches and
regional officers.
|
Lisa Folwell deals mainly with members' queries, cash contributions and also helps Julie update Branch Secretaries’ cash listings.

Shobna
Gudka works as part of the team and specialises in
benefit applications as well as dealing with Direct Debit
membership applications.

Gillian Stanniford and Ella Woodgate are the Secretarial Support Staff who work with the Hendon based Organisers and will be pleased to assist you with any questions or queries, or alternatively will direct you to the correct Officer or Department

Tony
Warr, Senior Organiser for the Commercial Services Section and Retired Life Members who has responsibility for members within the major food manufacturing companies in North and West London, including Bakkavor Katsouris, Bakkavor Pizza and Noon Products. Tony has management responsibility for a large number of the Region's Organisers based Hendon and the Central London Team. Tony is also Head of Legal in the London Region.

Anna
Meyer (Organiser)
has responsibility for membership within the legal
sector and language schools, as well as the House
of Commons and the House of Lords and Madame Tussuads.
She also looks after membership in Westminster
council. |

| Gary Carter (Organiser) has responsibility for the following local authorities and their associated contractors. Islington, Camden, City of London, Kensington & Chelsea
He is also the officer responsible for GMB members in Royal Parks, Festival Republic, City West Homes. |

Education Department
Paul Ward is the Regional Education Officer responsible for exercising the Training Programme for the Region. Paul is responsible for tutoring on courses, writing and updating course materials and overseeing a team of external Tutors all of which are dedicated Trade Unionists and hold all relevant teaching qualifications. Paul also works with the Officers and Branch Officials to devise Bespoke Courses for their reps in specific workplaces.
Paul is currently assisted in the department by Suzanne Louka and John Healey. |

Stella George-Duesbury is an Organiser with responsibility for Local Authorities and associated Contractors. Stella has current responsibility for the London Borough of Brent, Hammersmith and Fulham and Harrow Councils; with contractors Veolia, Wettons, NSL to name a few.
In addition, Stella has taken responsibility of a care Home in Harrow (Livability) and has appointed a Representative to deal with local issues and has increased membership at Livability.
Previously, Stella was an Assistant Branch Secretary and started her work with GMB as a Steward in 2007 while working for a Local Authority.

Paul Hayes is the Regional Secretary of the London Region.

PA to Regional Secretary and Head of Secretarial Support Services
Chris
Bargery is the Regional Secretary's secretary and is also
the Office Manager, with responsibility for the
day to day administration for the region. Chris
is a back up system and very often is the point
of contact for people contacting the Regional Secretary’s
Office. Chris is also responsible for all the Secretarial Support Staff of the London Region.
The secretarial support staff at the Hendon Office will be pleased to assist you with any questions or queries, or alternatively will direct you to the correct Officer or Department.
