The Region is currently working with a number of new workplaces to try and achieve recognition agreements. These agreements assist the employer and union to work more closely together and form a mutual understanding of industrial relations.

Sometimes recognition agreements can be settled quickly, in other cases, they could be the result of many months negotions and hard work by officers and local representatives.
