Welcome
to the recruitment resource section for GMB London Region
activists.
We hope
that these pages will assist you in organising your workplace,
recruiting and retaining members.
Over the
last year, due to the efforts of our activists, officers and
staff the London Region has increased its membership by over
4,000 members.
We now
have nearly 95,000 members in this region and want to ensure
that we continue to grow, so that we can provide better services
and greater support.
Our activists
are key to this aim. With over 2,400 workplace reps in the
Region, we need your help to recruit non-members, and retain
existing members in your workplaces.
The right
hand menu details all the resources available to you for recruitment
in the Region.
Recruitment is everyone's responsibility, from activists,
branches, officers and staff. Each Branch should look to producing
an annual Recruitment Plan based on local surveys by reps,
involving the support of the officers and Regional Organising
Team.
There is a full programme of training available to our workplace
reps, all of which deal with issues of recruitment and retention. For full details click here. In addition there is a specific organisation course for reps and these dates can be seen by clicking "training dates" in the right hand menu.
