GMB Young Members

Young workers are in many cases exploited or treated badly.  Whether it is your first job or you're struggling to make ends meet while a student, like many young people you could be unaware of your workplace rights and there are plenty of managers who will take advantage of this.  As a GMB member you can ensure you have a 600,000 strong Union to back you up to get respect in the workplace.

GMB has a young member's section. The group deals with issues and concerns of those aged 16 to 27. Around 5% of the 610,000 GMB members are under 27 years of age and classified as young members. As well as dealing with work related issues GMB also run a social side sending group to work at festivals like Glastonbury and much more.
